Bayern Munich's Dante has confirmed Manchester United's interest in signing him this month.
David Moyes is in desperate need of a new central defender with questions marks surrounding the futures of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic - pinpointing the Brazilian as a perfect fit.
The 30-year-old hasn't played for the German champions for over a month but still has two years left on his deal.
When asked if he had signed for United, Dante said 'not yet,' but did indicate that Moyes is keeping tabs on his situation.
'I'm thankful for the Manchester United interest, it will all be sorted out by the end of the month.'
Dante was part of the Bayern side to be dismantled by Manchester City in December, but has a tremendous pedigree on the continent.
Moyes wants to land Chelsea's Juan Mata in the next week as he attempts to bolster a seriously beleaguered squad.
